Historically, Jefferson County has been among the top three counties in Florida with regards to voter percentage turnout. The General Election in November, 2004, produced an 81% turnout of registered voters.

The canvassing board will be meeting to perform a mandated audit of voting results of a randomly drawn precinct and one race from that precinct as per S.101.591, F.S. The meeting will be at the Election Office at 2:00 pm Friday September 3, 2010.
